Poland was home to the largest Jewish community in Europe before 1939. What survives is uneven: Kazimierz in Kraków kept its synagogues and its street plan, the Podgórze ghetto kept a wall fragment and a square of empty chairs, Warsaw kept almost nothing above ground and built POLIN instead. The walks below are led by guides who know which is which, with prices, walking distances and the length of each route.
